Kathmandu : A major drug bust occurred at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) when police apprehended a foreign national from Latvia, Ivars Valters, with 6.24kg of Cocaine hidden inside a suitcase.
Cocaine arrest by officers from the Narcotics Control Bureau in the arrival area of TIA Customs Office. The suspect has taken into custody, and further investigations are ongoing following the extension of his remand by the District Court Kathmandu.
In related operations, police also arrested two individuals from the New Bus Park in Kathmandu with 15.500 milligrams of brown sugar, cash, and mobile phones. Another duo apprehended in Narephant, Kathmandu, with 640 milligrams of brown sugar , 6.24kg of cocaine and other items, continuing the crackdown on drug-related activities in the city.
